To create a Google Maps Places API key, follow these steps:

Step 1: Go to Google Cloud Console

  1. Open the Google Cloud Console.
  2. Sign in with your Google account.

Step 2: Create or Select a Project

  1. Click on the project dropdown in the top navigation bar.
  2. Select an existing project or click New Project to create a new one.
  3. If creating a new project, enter a Project Name and click Create.

Step 3: Enable the Places API

  1. In the Google Cloud Console, navigate to APIs & Services → Library.
  2. Search for Places API and click on it.
  3. Click Enable.

Step 4: Create API Credentials

  1. Go to APIs & Services → Credentials.
  2. Click Create Credentials → API Key.
  3. Google will generate an API key. Copy and save it.
